Industry insiders interested in the fate of Pioneer Investments [see profile] could be getting a clearer picture in two to three months' time.

Federico Ghizzoni, CEO of Pioneer parent UniCredit, told Reuters Insider TV last week that UniCredit will finalize the process within two to three months.

UniCredit is awaiting offers for the asset manager.

Meanwhile, a report that surfaced on Bloomberg last week states that UniCredit executives are talking to Intesa Sanpaolo SpA about possibly combining Pioneer with Intesa's Eurizon Capital SGR.

In his chat with Reuters Insider TV, however, Ghizzoni declined to say whether Eurizon was in the running for Pioneer.
