Kasina Adds Three Consultants

Strategic management consulting firm kasina has added three new hires: Saadiah Freeman as a senior managing consultant, Helen Gurina as a consultant and Jesse Mark as a research analyst.

Gurina's and Mark’s first day with the firm was January 3 and Freeman will join the firm on the 17th. Freeman comes to kasina from Boston Consulting Group, where she was a consultant. Gurina hails from Leading Market Technologies and will support kasina’s consulting projects.

Mark, who comes to kasina from NERA Economic Consulting, will support kasina’s research services.

New York, (January 11, 2010) – Now that asset managers are back on sound footing, they are looking for ways to be innovative and grow in an efficient manner. This has forced companies to take a hard look at how to overhaul their current business models. As part of its continued response to the challenges that the industry is facing, kasina, a strategic management consulting firm, has announced three hires: Saadiah Freeman as a Senior Managing Consultant, Helen Gurina as a Consultant, and Jesse Mark as a Research Analyst. Ms. Gurina and Mr. Mark’s first day with the firm was January 3rd. Ms. Freeman’s first day will be January 17th.

Ms. Freeman comes to kasina from Boston Consulting Group (BCG), where she was a Consultant. Previously, she worked as an Investment Banker with Babcock & Brown in Australia, Europe, and the U.S. Ms. Freeman is a graduate of the University of Sydney and also holds a graduate diploma in applied finance and investment from the Financial Services Institute of Australia. As a Senior Managing Consultant at kasina, Ms. Freeman joins Rubesh Jacobs (formerly of Booz Allen Hamilton and Nationwide), who joined the firm in February 2010.

Ms. Gurina will support kasina’s consulting engagements. She comes to kasina from Leading Market Technologies, where she led a team of 5 developers and marketing managers in launching new versions for the 1.5 million user MarketBrowser product. Prior to LMT, she worked at Investor Group Services where she completed due diligence and strategy review cases for private equity and sell-side clients in a wide range of industries. Ms. Gurina is a graduate of Dartmouth College.

Mr. Mark will support kasina’s research services. He comes to kasina from NERA Economic Consulting, where he performed economic analysis for subprime and credit crisis-related litigation. Prior to NERA, he worked at the Lower Manhattan Construction Command Center. Mr. Mark is a graduate of Tufts University.
