A day after Janus Capital Group executives said their firm is not a target of the government's investigation on possible insider trading, Wellington Management on Friday came out with a similar statement.

"The government has confirmed that we are not a target of their insider trading investigation," Reuters quoted Wellington Management Sara Lou Sherman as saying. She added that the Boston-based company has not been accused of wrongdoing.
