Edward Bernard T. Rowe Price Vice Chairman

The Baltimore-based company is expanding its footprint around the world and deepening its presence in the United States. T. Rowe Price [see profile] is one of a handful of mutual fund advisers to continue investing in 401(k) recordkeeping. That move has kept it in the race with Vanguard and Fidelity. It is also expanding its distribution through advisors with deals with fund supermarkets.

Edward Bernard has also taken a position of industry leadership. Last month the ICI announced that he was elected to a second term as the chairman of the industry trade and lobbying group.
