| Martin L. Flanagan Invesco President, CEO | |
There have been a lot of changes at
Invesco [
see profile] in recent years. The firm has rebranded (dropping the AIM legacy) and jumped into the ETF game with the acquisition of
PowerShares. This year Invesco added
Morgan Stanley's mutual fund business into that mix.
Marty Flanagan joined Invesco in 2005, resigning as co-CEO of
Franklin Resources to take the opportunity. He had been at the West Coast firm for more than 20 years after starting his career with Templeton, Galbraith & Hansberger and Arthur Andersen & Co. It was the 1992 merger between Franklin and Templeton that Flanagan points to as a formative experience guiding his reshaping of Invesco.
