Charles Johnson Franklin Resources Chairman

The son of Franklin Resources founder Rupert Johnson remains chairman of the public mutual fund firm (his half-brother Rupert is vice chairman). His son, Greg, has taken the top job in the day-to-day management of the San Mateo-based firm, but Charles Johnson remains one of the richest men in the United States with a number 74 rank on this year's Forbes list and a net worth of some $4 billion.
