Standard & Poor's Equity Research revealed the gold, silver and bronze medalists in ten categories for its brand new
US Mutual Fund Excellence Awards Program (see the full list

S&P named the finalists for the award last month (see

Several fund firms won multiple medals for different funds. T. Rowe brought home three silver medals and two bronze; Vanguard won two golds, a silver and two bronze;

Vanguard STAR Fund (blended fund of funds).
