HighMark Hires a Former Money Magazine Reporter

Reported by Armie Margaret Lee

HighMark Capital Management [see profile] tapped Baie Netzer to lead the firm's manager research team. Netzer, whose title is director of manager research, reports to HighMark vice president Christine Weiss.

Netzer joined the firm earlier this month and leads a team of three analysts.

"HighMark Capital Management continues to grow and that created the need for more analytical research and due diligence," Weiss told The MFWire.com in an interview.

Most recently, Netzer was a senior research analyst and portfolio manager with Litman/Gregory. She earlier worked as a Quicken product manager for Intuit and a reporter for Money magazine.

At HighMark, Netzer's duties include monitoring and review of current sub-advisors for HighMark Funds and evaluating potential new sub-advised partners.
