Many firms are embracing commodities within their target-date funds to help dampen volatility, but not all are. According to last Thursday's
Wall Street journal Fund Track article , firms such as
T. Rowe Price Group,
Principal Funds and
Fidelity Investments have all made commodities a part of their portfolios.
However, other players such as
American Century Investments and
Vanguard Group have all reportedly ignored commodities in their target-date funds, instead aiming to keep their portfolios simple.
