BNY Mellon Wealth Management is on the hunt for portfolio managers across the U.S. this year. The firm is especially looking to expand its business development team for Boston and the surrounding area, according to the
Boston Business Journal.
BNY Mellon Wealth Management announced that it has already hired in the Pacific Northwest, welcoming
Jay Tejera as senior director of portfolio management. Tejara, who was a senior regional investment manager for
Wells Fargo Bank, will report to region president
Nancy Pellegrino.
The firm also announced that it has hired three new vice presidents in its Boston office.
Brant McGettrick,
Judith Rowland, and
Craig Slater will report to managing director of sales in the Boston area
Bob Nadherny, who said the firm plans to hire additional salespeople and private bankers as well as portfolio managers in the coming months.
The news comes in the wake of BNY Mellon's February deal with
PNC Global Investment Servicing. BNY Mellon acquired the fund servicer for $2.31 billion in an all-cash transaction. The deal is expected to close in the third quarter.
