Foliofn is continuing to make moves to expand its offerings to investors wanting to move beyond funds. The week the starup said that it will offer private equity investments through an alliance with OffRoad Capital. The deal also provides increased access to financial advisors wanting to offer their clients private equity investments. OffRoad already has an alliance with Schwab to reach that market.

Stephen D. Pelletier, chief executive officer of San Fracisco-based OffRoad Capital, said that the partnership is part of an attemprr to provide investors with more access to the private capital markets.

OffRoad also has partnerships with the Mayfield Fund and Robertson Stephens. Mayfield is also a venture investor in Foliofn Investing.

"Our companies share a common commitment to using technology to provide investors with more access, information and choice in managing their investments," he added.

"OffRoad and FOLIOfn are both using technology to develop innovative new financial products and services that benefit consumers. Now with this partnership, FOLIOfn's customers can easily take advantage of OffRoad's services," said Steven M.H. Wallman, founder and chief executive officer of FOLIOfn. Wallman also sits on OffRoad's board of directors.
