board of directors has reinstated and extended the firm's stock repurchase program. The parent of Janus and Berger Funds said it will buy back up to $1 billion worth of shares.
The firm added that it has so far repurchased 7.2 million shares worth $323.3 million.
The Stilwell board also said that the firm will pay a $0.04 per share annual dividend to shareholders on July 31, 2002. The record date is July 15.
