Giving an institutional boost to its sales team,
Direxion Funds –- a leveraged index specialist -- welcomed
Sylvia Jablonski to its team in mid-November as vice president of business development, a company executive confirmed. Jablonski's role is new and she reports to
Bill Franka, executive vice president of distribution at Direxion.
In this position, Jablonski concentrates on product education, information delivery, and trading strategy implementation for institutional clients, like hedge funds.

Jablonski joined Direxion from
Societe Generale, where she worked in a sales and product development capacity within the Swiss bank's global equity derivatives division, focusing on the asset management, hedge fund, and pension and endowment client areas. Before Societe Generale, Jablonski worked at Deutsche Bank Securities in various roles, including strategy, product development, and relationship management within the Global Equity Derivatives/Total Return Swaps space.
Direxion is not looking to make any additional immediate hires to its sales team according to O'Rourke but the company is continuing to grow.
