Nick Calamos is one of two executives with new titles at Calamos Asset Management. The publicly-traded Naperville, Illinois-based firm on Tuesday promoted Calamos to president of investments and co-chief investment officer and Jim Boyne to president of distribution and operations.

Calamos was previously senior executive vice president and also serves as the Naperville, Illinois-based firm's co-chief investment officer alongside his uncle, John P. Calamos, Sr., the company's chairman and CEO.

Boyne was previously senior vice president and chief operating officer for distribution at Calamos Financial Services, LLC and senior vice president and general counsel for Calamos Asset Management and its affiliates.

"The promotion of Nick and Jim helps to strengthen our senior management structure and I look forward to continuing to work with them as we grow our business and serve our clients," said John P. Calamos, Sr. in a news release on Tuesday.
