Lipper has acquired
AMG Data Services, a compiler of data on mutual fund flows, the
Wall Street Journal reported.

Robert Adler told the
WSJ that the transaction was completed on Tuesday. In a letter to AMG clients, Adler stated that he will be joining Lipper as head of Lipper FMI, Americas, which specializes in global fund flows and industry research.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Representatives for Thomson Reuters and Lipper were not immediately available for comment. Calls placed to AMG Data Services were not immediately returned.
