Brian Jacobs, who joined Baron Capital Group in February as chief distribution officer, has added two wholesalers to his team. Jacobs hired Joseph Nelson and Bill Zorovich as regional directors last month, a company spokesperson confirmed to The MFWire.

Both posts are new, according to the spokesperson.

Nelson previously spent 12 years with Eaton Vance, and earlier he was at Transamerica for 10 years.

Hugh Gilmartin replaced Nelson at Eaton Vance, a company representative said.

Zorovich joined Baron from Van Kampen Investments, where he spent four years. Before that, worked at Citigroup Asset Management, Merrill Lynch Investment Managers and Salomon Brothers.

At Van Kampen, Zorovich's duties were assumed by Michael Brescia, according to a company spokeswoman.
