T. Rowe Price on Wednesday shelled out $13.5 million for 72 acres of land in Florida, company spokesperson Heather McDonold confirmed to The MFWire. The land is in Pasco County, just north of Tampa.

"We could potentially build one or two 150,000 square-foot buildings on the land initially and there is future capacity for a third building," McDonold told The MFWire.

The space can accommodate as many as 1,650 employees, McDonold said.
