Findings of a recent survey done by consulting firm Cogent Research on investors' views toward the mutual fund business have been picked up by The Wall Street Journal. Some investors think that fund firms don't always look out for their best interests, citing issues like the excessive trading, the lack of fee transparency and the fund firms' failure to clearly communicate tax and risk issues to investors. Barclays Global Investors commissioned the survey.
