Great-West plans to make more acquisitions in the U.S. financial services area, the company's chief executive,
Raymond McFeetors said in a call annoucing the sale of its U.S. health-care business.
GlobeInvestor.com reports that McFeetors said, "“There are certainly at least one or two today that we're looking at. Clearly we'll want to grow the financial services even faster than we have been." McFeetors also hinted that U.S. asset management shops are high on the list of acquisitions saying, "You should not discount the fact that we may want to do another acquisition in the asset management area.
Putnam – significant though it was – doesn't exhaust our appetite for asset management."
