Eaton Vance's sales arm has a new management structure.
The new structure, officials at
Eaton Vance Distributors said Thursday, integrates leadership of Eaton Vance's sales and national accounts functions for the firm's major distribution channels.
William Gillen is now overseeing sales and national account relationships for the independent advisor, bank and registered investment advisor channel. Most recently, Gillen was senior vice president and national sales director.
Meanwhile,
Jerome Vainisi is now in charge of the wirehouse channel. Vainisi was previously vice president and eastern division sales director for Eaton Vance's brokerage sales team.
The new structure took effect last week, according to company spokesperson Jeanette Harrison-Sullivan.
In addition, the functions of the Boston firm's former retail separately managed accounts and alternative investments marketing units have been combined into the newly created Wealth Management Solutions Group. That group will be led by
James Durocher, who was most recently director of managed accounts marketing.
The changes, officials said, are aimed at better supporting expanded product offerings and improving distribution efforts.
"We have developed a new management structure to support continued growth by strengthening our distribution relationships and facilitating a more coordinated approach to product marketing," said
Matt Witkos, president of Eaton Vance Distributors, in a news release.
