It's midday in the market and the Dow is down 142 points as of 11:40. Mutual fund companies are seeing their stocks follow the downward market trend.

Stocks that have fallen the farthest are those of AllianceBerstein, down 2.6 percent; Calamos, down 2.6 percent; U.S. Global Investors, down 4.7 percent; BlackRock, down 3.4 percent and SEI, down 3.3 percent.

Two fund company stocks bucked the downward trend, Legg Mason was up by a razor thin 0.01 percent and Integrity Funds was up by 2.6 percent, presumably on the favorable earnings report released today.
