Fidelity is moving some workers from its Merrimack campus in New Hampshire to a new three-story office building a mile away from the campus, The Union Leader reports. The fund giant signed a five-year lease for 47,774 square feet of the building, according to the report. Fidelity spokesman Mike Shamrell told the paper that the move was not due to a surge in hiring but to accomodate the growth that has taken place over the last 10 years. Fidelity's workforce in the area has increased from 3,000 to 5,000 employees in that time.
