Pope Adds A Sales Acolyte

Dodd F. Kittsley has joined Barclays Global Investors' iShares sales strategy team in a new position as a client segment strategist. Kittsley will focus on meeting the needs of financial advisors and will report to Brad Pope, director of iShares sales strategy for BGI.


Barclays Global Investors (BGI), one of the world's largest asset management firms(1), announced today that Dodd F. Kittsley, CFA, has joined the iShares Sales Strategy team in a new position as a Client Segment Strategist.

In this role, Mr. Kittsley will primarily focus on the needs of financial advisors and identify and provide them with better services. Effective April 16, 2007, he will be based in San Francisco and will report to Brad Pope, Director of iShares Sales Strategy for BGI.

The iShares Sales Strategy team brings the latest investment thought leadership to financial advisors by leveraging the institutional experience of Barclays Global Investors. The team develops education and solutions to support financial advisors in providing advice to their clients and growing their business.

Prior to joining iShares Funds, Mr. Kittsley was the director of the Strategy and Research Group for State Street Global Advisors (SSgA), where he managed a team of eight research strategists who provided customized portfolio solutions to financial advisors, asset managers, RIAs and family offices. He also served SSgA as a principal and Director of ETF Research for the Advisor Strategies Group. Prior to joining SSgA, Dodd was a Vice President in the equity research department at Morgan Stanley, where for nearly eight years he was responsible for developing research and investment strategies using ETFs and closed-end funds.

Mr. Kittsley holds a Masters in Education from the University of Houston, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Hamilton College. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and Boston Society of Security Analysts.
