Delaware Investments Hires Head of Equity Investments

Michael J. Hogan has joined Delaware Investments, a affiliate of Lincoln Financial Group, as head of equity investments. The position was previously held in interim by Patrick P. Delaware Investments today announced that Michael J. Hogan has joined the company as Head of Equity Investments, effective immediately. In this role, Mr. Hogan will oversee all of the firm's equity management teams. The position was previously held by Patrick P. Coyne, president of Delaware Investments. Mr. Coyne has been serving as interim head of equity since being named president of Delaware Investments in July 2006.

Mr. Coyne added that Delaware Investments has successfully integrated several strong teams over the last three years, including Large Cap Value, Focus Growth, International Value Equity, and Emerging Markets. These teams joined already established equity teams at Delaware Investments, such as Emerging Growth, Core Equity, and Small Cap Value. "Pat has outlined aggressive growth targets for Delaware Investments," said Mr. Hogan. "I look forward to working with this dynamic firm, and especially a firm that values a culture of achieving excellence and creating value for clients."

Prior to joining Delaware Investments, Mr. Hogan spent 11 years at SEI, where he served in several key leadership roles. His most recent role at SEI was managing director and global head of equity, providing direction for more than $50 billion of assets and a staff of more than 20 investment professionals located in four countries. Mr. Hogan also spent seven years at PNC Asset Management as vice president, portfolio strategist and vice president, senior economist. He began his career as an associate economist at Wharton Econometric Forecasting Associates. Mr. Hogan received his bachelor's degree and a master's degree in economics from the University of Delaware.
