With America's retirees in jeopardy of outliving their savings, American Century Investments has developed a new service to assist those whose problems are down to miscalculation.

The package, targeted at workers on the cusp of retirement, surveys available funds and analyzes what withdrawal and spending rates the nest egg can sustain, reports the Kansas City Business Journal. It's been added at no extra cost to American Century's Portfolio Advisor investment plan.
