ICON Advisers has tapped Donald Salcito as its general counsel. The Greenwood, Colorado-based fund firm also named Stephen Abrams as associate general counsel, reporting to Salcito. Both men join the fund advisor from Perkins Coie, where they were partners.

Salcito focused on broker-dealer regulation, securities law, corporate transaction and mergers and acquisition at Perkins Coie. Prior to joining Perkins Coie, he had served as general counsel, director and executive vice president of an NYSE broker-dealer.

Abrams focused on securities litigation and transactional work at the law firm.

"The combination of Don and Stephen's regulatory expertise will add value to ICON's overall compliance process and bring added depth to our legal efforts," said Craig Callahan, ICON's founder and president.
