Capital Group's
American Funds [

BlackRock's
iShares [

Barron's reports on a new report from
Cogent Research, asking 1,500 advisors "which fund company does the best job of creating strong business connections."
American Funds came out on top of the traditional mutual fund firm category with 19 percent of the votes (down from 23 percent last year), while iShares topped the ETF firm list with 32 percent (down from 35 percent).
Yet, Cogent recently told
The MFWire that, in another ETF category, advisor loyalty as measured by Bain & Company's "net promoter" score,
Vanguard [

The MFWire, 8/31/2010).
