Bill Stromberg is handing off one of his hats as he promotes a pair of key
T. Rowe Price, leaders.
Today Stromberg
confirms that
Rob Sharps has
risen to president and
Celine Dufetel has risen to chief operating officer. Stromberg, who previously held president as one of his titles, will remain CEO and chair. Sharps will head of investments and group chief investment officer. And Dufetel will remain treasurer and chief financial officer.
"The size and complexity of the company have increased significantly, and we expect this trend to continue," Stromberg states. "Rob and Celine have each expanded their roles and influence in recent years to help us navigate this period of change."
After working with KPMG, Sharps joined T. Rowe in 1997 as an analyst. Over the years, he rose to PM, then to co-head of global equities, and then to group CIO. He is an alumnus of the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School and of Towson University.
Dufetel
joined T. Rowe in 2017 after working with
Neuberger Berman and
McKinsey. She is an alumnus of Princeton University and of Ecole Polytechniquie.
