Friday, July 12, 2013 The Leader of a Mutual Fund Publication Moves On Jim Pavia, who had served as editorial director of InvestmentNews for over a year, and before that editor of the publication for over nine years, has left to join CNBC in a senior position within its digital department. Pavia will serve in the newly-created position of senior-editor-at-large, where he be in charge of news outlet's coverage of financial advisers and their clients on a number of platforms. He will start in his new job on July 29 and report to Steve Lewis, senior executive producer, Strategic Content & News Partnerships. Before working at InvestmentNews, he worked at Miller-Freeman/VNU, where he served as editor-in-chief for Bank System and Technology, as well as the New York Daily News, and the National Sports Daily.
