Monday, August 13, 2007 The Boston Company's Sheppard Lands New Gig Patrick Sheppard, chief operating officer of Bank of New York Mellon Corp. subsidiary The Boston Company, has lined up a new gig. The MFWire reported last week that Sheppard is set to leave The Boston Company on August 24 (see "Boston Company COO Will Follow Portfolio Team Out the Door," August 10, 2007).
"Patrick will be an instrumental member of our leadership team. We have enjoyed significant growth over the past several years and we are committed to attracting and retaining the highest levels of talent to ensure our clients' continued success. Patrick’s background is perfectly suited to the business complexities of our growing global client base and product offering," Michelle R. Seitz, head of Investment Management, said. Sheppard's departure is the eighth high-profile departure suffered by The Boston Company in recent weeks. Munder Capital Management lifted out seven members of the the international core and international small cap investment teams earlier this month.
