Tuesday, June 21, 2005 Barclays Chooses New COO from Consultant Ranks Barclays Global Investors has named ex-Boston Consulting Group executive Rohit Bhagat as chief operating officer, the company announced in a release. Bhagat reports to co-CEOs Blake Grossman and Andrew Skirton. The new hire replaces Rich Ricci, who assumed the role of COO for Barclays Capital, Barclays PLC's investment banking unit, and Barclays Private Clients. At BCG, Bhagat served as senior vice president and director of BCG's West Coast Financial Services practice. Prior to joining BCG, Bhagat worked at Booz Allen Hamilton.
