Team of Four to Handle Strategy at MassMutual


Besides being prominent in the headlines, MassMutual has been issuing a flurry of press releases about personnel changes these days. The latest one is about a new "Office of the CEO."

According to the release, four top executives at the insurer will serve at the Office to assist President and CEO Stuart H. Reese "focus on the strategic direction and operational aspects of MassMutual's business to enhance the company's long-term growth."

The four include: Roger Crandall, the newly promoted executive vice president and chief investment officer; Howard Gunton, executive vice president and chief financial officer; John Murphy, head of OppenheimerFunds; and Matthew Winter, executive vice president of MassMutual's Individual Insurance Group.
