American Century Gets TIPSy, Again

American Century is targeting a new TIPS fund to advisors. The new fund builds on the firms existing capabilities in the Treasury inflation protected securities business and its desire to build its fund lineup for advisors.

The Kansas City-based firm now offers 18 load funds for advisors. This is its third product, including one mutual fund with $1.2 billion of assets and one annuity account, which invests in TIPS.

American Century Inflation Protection Bond Fund (APOIX) carries A, B, C, R, Institutional and Investor share classes.

Jeremy Fletcher is the portfolio manager for the new fund as well as the firm's existing TIPS fund.
