Franklin is Generous with the Bennies

Franklin Templeton Investments C.A.R.E.S. about its employees. At the firm's office in Rancho Cordova, California, employees make use of a veritable concierge at the Convenient Amenities, Recreation and Employee Services center, where they can pick up drycleaning, buy discounted show tickets, sign up for massages, get their cars washed, and browse the internet.

That's according to the Sacramento Bee, which co-sponsored an event honoring Franklin and other employers with the Sacramento Workplace Excellence Leader award (sponsored by the Sacramento Area Human Resource Association).

The C.A.R.E.S. center is not the only perk Franklin employees have. Parents or parent-to-be can also make use of $5,000 for adoption expenses, and set up a free $50 Baby Mutual Fund account.

"Our benefits philosophy is that we provide the benefits that best meet our employee needs, not what's hot," said Cheryl DeLany, Franklin's employee programs coordinator, told the Sacramento Bee. "We evaluate what they need and try to offer well-rounded benefits."

Franklin also offers referral programs to employees for financial planning, employee wellness and elderly care services. The company's Rancho Cordova office not only has a gym, but keeps it open on the weekends, as well.

And perhaps the best perk of all: the office has wellness rooms for sleepy employees to take naps.
