Tuesday, March 8, 2005 Scudder Makes Bet on Commodities with New Fund Rising interest rates and inflation may be the spur to a revival of commodities funds. At least that is the hope at Scudder Investments. The fund unit of Deutsche Asset Management opened its Scudder Commodity Securities Fund on Monday. Theresa Gusman, head of equity research for Americas, is the lead portfolio manager for the fund. Half of the fund assets will be invested directly in commodities and half in stocks of companies with businesses focused on natural resources and commodities.
