Fund Flow Track Sees Growth

TrimTabs Investment Research (one of the handful of firms that tracks fund flows), is opening a second office in Atlanta. Long ensconced a stone's throw from California’s wine country in Santa Rosa, the firm are expanding after hiring a new marketer.

Frederic ("Rick") May takes the title of managing director of Marketing and Business Development. His hiring is part of an effort to grow the firm's product line, said TrimTabs President Charles Biderman. "Rick brings a tremendous breadth of experience in custom investment research to lead our business development team," he added.

May has a long background in financial services sales, including ten years stint as a director of Institutional Sales for Ned Davis Research Group.

"TrimTabs is positioned for tremendous sales and product growth," said May. "We have a unique set of products that look at the investment world as a function of cash and share liquidity rather than earnings. TrimTabs is the only firm tracking liquidity flows on a daily basis. I am especially excited about our new ETF products that compliment our research into mutual fund flows."
