Wednesday, February 23, 2005 Northern Trust Adds BGI, SSgA Hires James Francis, the former head of structured emerging markets at State Street Global Advisors, has joined Northern Trust Global Investments to head the firm's domestic equity index team. He will be based in Chicago and report to Alex Matturi, director of global equity index management. Alain Cubeles also joined NTGI as a senior investment strategist in the firm's Chicago-based Global Quantitative Management group.
