Friday, January 21, 2005 Harris Opens Door All the Way Harris Associates is fully opening the doors to its Oakmark Select Fund next Friday. Bill Nygren, portfolio manager of the fund invests in a limited number of stocks in the fund and had closed it to new investors in May of 2001. Last November 10 the fund was reopened to investors who purchased directly from Harris. Starting on January 28 the fund will once again be open to investors purchasing through supermarkets and other distributors.
