New Exec at Fido RIA Group


Fidelity Investments has named Scott Dell'Orfano for a newly created positon as executive vice president and national sales manager of its Registered Investment Advisor Group.

Dell'Orfano reports to Jay Lanigan, president of the RIA group at Fidelity.

The RIA group provides custody and brokerage services to approximately 2,400 RIAs with more than $110 billion in assets.

Dell'Orfano was hired to "to help that business keep pace with changes in growth," said Adam Banker, Fidelity spokesman. Banker declined to comment on additional hires.

Dell'Orfano leaves a position as senior vice president at SEI. At SEI, he managed and was responsible for the development of the SEI Advisor Network.

A SEI spokesperson did not immediately return a call seeking information on a replacement for Dell'Orfano.
