Monday, August 23, 2004 Gabelli COO Expands Role Douglas Jamieson, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Gabelli Asset Management Company Investors, is taking on additional responsibilities. Jamieson will retain his title as executive vice president and chief operating officer, but will oversee all four business units within Gabelli Asset Management -- mutual funds, hedge funds, the broker-dealer business, and high-net worth and institutional. Previously, Jamieson was chief operating officer of the high-net worth and institutional business. "Doug will oversee all facets of our business, including GAMCO Investor, our institutional and high net worth business, Gabelli Funds Inc., which embraces our mutual funds, and Gabelli Securities Inc., which includes our alternative (hedge fund) and institutional broker dealer," officials stated in a release.
