Yesterday (March 20), the USA Today team unveiled their list of winners of the USA Today Top Workplaces 2025 award. Employees from 2,251 employers (up from 2,227 last year) completed the required Energage employee survey process, and from there the Energage team ranked the top 100 empoyers in each of four size categories: employers with 2,500 or more employees each; employers with between 1,000 and 2,499 employees each; employers with between 500 and 999 employees each; and employers with between 150 and 499 employees each. (Only organizations with at least 150 employees each were eligible for consideration.)

Among the largest employers (those with at least 2,500 employees each), the top 100 list includes at least four U.S. mutual fund industry players: Fidelity Investments ranks 17th this year; Sun Life (parent of MFS) ranks 49th; T. Rowe Price ranks 61st; and Empower ranks 72nd. And in the 1,000 to 2,499 employees category, AllianzLife (parent of Allianz Investment Management) ranks 23rd.

"Employee feedback alone informs the rankings," USA Today's Rachel Barber writes.

"This recognition is grounded in authentic employee feedback, making it a true reflection of an organization's commitment to a positive workplace culture," states Eric Rubino, CEO of Energage.

"We extend our heartfelt congratulations to this year's exceptional national award recipients," states Samantha Howland, chief people officer of Gannett (USA Today's parent).
