One Stop Shopping at Oppenheimer

OppenheimerFunds, Inc. wants to give customers looking to invest in U.S. value equities a “one-fund” solution: the recently launched Oppenheimer Select Value Fund.

The fund will invest in value equities across all market capitalizations. It will be team managed by Christopher Leavy, senior vice president and head of OppenheimerFunds’ Value Equity Team, Emmanuel Ferreira, vice president and manager of Oppenheimer Balanced Fund and John Damian, vice president and manager of Oppenheimer Small Cap Value Fund. No new managers were hired as a result of the fund launch.

The fund, which opened just a few weeks ago on 27 February 2004, already has more than $6 million in assets, according to Oppenheimer spokesman Gregory Stitt. He added that the Select Value Fund is Oppenheimer’s only multi-cap fund.

"By introducing Oppenheimer Select Value Fund, we continue to strengthen our value product line, providing investors an investment option that offers them value equity exposure through one product," said Mike Quinn, product manager of the Fund.

"Investor will find the Fund’s team approach to be a true benefit, as these three experienced portfolio managers have worked together on our Value Team and have a proven strategy."
