Rob Smith, director and head of business administration for U.S. distribution at Franklin Templeton, did not immediately return an email for comment. A Franklin Templeton spokesperson did not immediately respond to questions for comment.

"I am looking for a new role and would appreciate your support. Thank you in advance for any connections, advice, or opportunities you can offer," Cocozza writes in a LinkedIn post.

Before joining Franklin Templeton, Cocozza had stints at Bank of America and John Hancock. He is an alumnus of the University of South Florida and of St. Petersburg College.
