Brian Brings an NY Key Accounts Vet to a CA Shop

A New York-based veteran in the RIA and national accounts spaces is taking his skills to an ETF startup.

Ahmed Taha is joining Larkspur, California-based BondBloxx as a business development officer, confirmed Brian O'Donnell, co-founder and head of distribution at the Larkspur, California-based fund firm. Taha started at BondBloxx on July 10 and will report to O'Donnell.

Taha's most recent position was at Bridgewater, New Jersey-based Harding Loevner, where he served as senior business development associate before leaving last fall.

"He's someone who has a lot of industry experience," said O'Donnell. They connected through their stints at Northern Trust, with Taha having been a strategic account manager and O'Donnell having been a senior vice president.

At BondBloxx, Taha's duties will cover the New York and New Jersey areas, O'Donnell said. The BondBloxx team plans on expanding in the Northeast in terms of coverage and distribution, with the goal of being the largest ETF distribution team in the industry, O'Donnell added.

Taha's past experiences include jobs with SEI and AXA Advisors. He is an alumnus of the University of Maryland.
