Tuesday, May 30, 2023 A Former Index Investing Leader Leaves DWS After nearly two decades with Deutsche Bank and DWS, a senior asset management leader is leaving.
A DWS spokesperson was not immediately able to comment on this story. In a LinkedIn post, Bassett writes, "It has been an incredible journey with so many highlights as well as an inevitable collection of war stories along the way! I am so very grateful for the opportunities I have had with the firm and the experiences, learnings and friendships that I will take with me." "I am tremendously proud of everything we have achieved together: the establishment and successful build out of our history making Xtrackers franchise in the US, the bringing together of our systematic businesses and development and implementation of the strategic growth plan to where we stand today, one of the leading systematic businesses globally, and more latterly, helping position the firm for the digital asset transformation ahead through the strategic alliance with Galaxy," she adds. Bassett continues, "Whilst I am proud of the strides we made and the innovations we developed to help our clients and our firm; in the end it is all about the people. I have been privileged to work with a fabulous team of diverse and super talented individuals who have not only been instrumental to our ability to make an impact but also made it hugely fun along the way. It has also been extremely rewarding to see how their careers have grown with the business. I will be cheering them all on from the sidelines knowing that with them, the franchise is in great hands." Bassett was with Deutsche Bank as a managing director in various departments until 2019. From 2018 to 2019, her role at Deutsche Bank overlapped with the same role at DWS Group, that of managing director and global co-head in index investing and Americas head of product. In 2019, Bassett moved over to DWS Group full-time in strategic transformation, where she remained until 2020. That year she was promoted to her most recent role. Bassett is an alumna of the University of Birmingham. Printed from: MFWire.com/story.asp?s=66030 Copyright 2023, InvestmentWires, Inc. All Rights Reserved |
