Wednesday, January 21, 2004 Manager To Launch Several New Funds Minneapolis, Minnesota-based Voyageur Asset Management Inc. will launch eight new funds under its new Tamarack Funds series in an SEC filing yesterday. The funds will assume the assets of funds that were previously offered under the J&B Funds series and the RBC Funds Inc. series. Last May, Jones & Babson Inc. was acquired by RBC Dain Rauscher Corp., which merged its Voyageur investment advisory unit and Jones & Babson investment advisory business in December. The proposed funds are: The Large Cap Equity Fund will seek long-term capital appreciation by investing common stock at U.S. companies with a market value of at least $5 billion. The Mid Cap Equity Fund will also aim for long-term capital appreciation by investing at least 80% of its net assets in common stocks of mid-sized companies that fall within the market capitalization range of companies in the Standard and Poor's Mid Cap 400 Composite Stock Price Index. Meanwhile, the small cap equity fund will generally invest at least 80% of its net assets in companies with a market capitalization of less than $2 billion.
