Tuesday, January 20, 2004 Waddell and Reed Completes Fund Merger Waddell & Reed Financial, Inc. has completed the mergers of the Advantus Funds with the Ivy Funds family, for which its subsidiary serves as investment adviser. The Advantus Funds includes 11 mutual funds, which at the date of the mergers in December had $631 million in assets. Four of the Advantus Funds were merged into Ivy Funds of similar objectives and the remaining seven funds were merged in as new products within the Ivy Funds family.
