Tuesday, September 21, 2021 Harbor's First Two ETFs Arrive A $64-billion-AUM (as of June 30), subadvised mutual fund firm has officially entered the ETF side of the business. Yesterday, Kristof Gleich, president and chief investment officer of Harbor Capital Advisors, Inc. [profile], confirmed that the Chicago-based firm's first two ETFs have launched, as planned. The Harbor Scientific Alpha Income ETF (SIFI on the NYSE) and the Harbor Scientific Alpha High-Yield ETF (SIHY) are both powered by the same subadvisor, BlueCove Limited, which specializes in what its team calls active "scientific fixed income investing." SIFI comes with an expense ratio of 50 basis points, while SIHY's expense ratio is 48 bps. In addition to previously disclosed service providers (including State Street and Foreside), Ernst & Young LLP serves as the ETFs' independent accounting firm. Alex Khein, co-founder and CEO of BlueCove, describes the two ETFs as "cost aware solutions to gaining access differentiated, actively managed, and scientifically driven fixed income exposure in the multi-sector and high-yield bond categories."
