Thursday, December 11, 2003 Clay Plans Sale of Eaton Vance Shares Landon Clay has filed to sell about 8.5 million shares of Eaton Vance stock. The shares represent about 12 percent of the 70 million share float of the asset management firm. Clay is a former Chairman of the Boston-based firm who retired in 1997. He said that he is selling the shares for personal reasons. The shares are worth more than $315 million based on the most recent closing price of $37.10.
