Tuesday, February 2, 2021 In Texas, an Ex-CEO Looks For His Next Adventure After leading a bank's mutual fund business for more than 13 years, a Lone Star State fundster is figuring out his next move. "What do I want to do next? I'm looking for my next adventure," Tom Stringfellow tells MFWire. As previously reported, Stringfellow retired yesterday from Frost Bank, where he served as president and chief investment officer of Frost Investment Advisors since its inception 13 years ago. He spent more than 40 years with Frost Bank, and yesterday he passed the Frost Investment Advisors reins to Mace McCain. "It's time to do something different. We did a great job getting the investment advisor set up and out there and growing the business," Stringfellow says, adding that Frost Investment Advisors is in "good hands" with McCain. Stringfellow confirms that he's looking to stay in the investment management business, perhaps doing consulting. "I enjoy the heck out of this business," Stringfellow says. "Where can I contribute to next?" Yet there's at least one retirement option that Stringfellow is ruling out. "For the safety of golfers, I'm not going out to the golf course," Stringfellow says with a laugh. Printed from: MFWire.com/story.asp?s=62461 Copyright 2021, InvestmentWires, Inc.
